About SSC:

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under a government of India to recruit staff for different post in the various ministries and departments of the government of India and in subordinate office. SSC in its 47th report (1967-68)  for conducting examination for recruitment  to lower categories of post later, formation on 4th November 1975 Government of India constituted a commission is also called subordinate service commission on 26th September 1977 renamed into staff selection commission. The staff selection commission has it headquarter at New Delhi, at present there are seven regional offices and two sub regional offices at Raipur & Chandigarh. Each regional offices headed by a regional director and each sub-regional offices is headed by a deputy director.

7.SSC Age Limitation

• Minimum age 18 years to maximum age 25 years relaxation will be given according to government rule
• Relaxation in age will be applicable for  SC/ST candidate 5 years  for OBC category 3 years relaxation for PH Category 10year  relaxation.

8.Method of Selection

Candidate will be selected on the basis of written examination.

• 1st paper- objective type
• 2nd paper- descriptive type
